Dr Carter

Dr. Carter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University of Camden, New Jersey, a Master of Education degree from The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey, and a Doctor of Education degree from Rowan University with studies in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Carter has been a teacher in Camden City Public Schools for 14 years as a 5th grade, 6th grade teacher. Later taught as a science teacher of grades 7-8th grade science where students passed standardized testing. Various teaching strategies were developed and designed specifically to promote success for the urban learner. Dr. Carter spent 5.5. years as an Assistant Principal in Willingboro Public Schools and Penns Grove Carneys Point RSD, and 2 years as a principal where students made AYP within 1 year of leadership. Dr. Carter was an adjunct professor at Salem Community College in the English Department.

Dr. Carter was a guest speaker on Culturally Speaking with Dr. Derrick, was awarded the NAACP Excellence in Education for Salem County, a member of various school organizations and St. John Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey.
